Ahmedabad and Delhi-NCR – Dignity offices are open to senior citizens wanting to cultivate such an enrichment process and enjoy a life transformation befitting one’s senior status in life.
We started our first Chai Masti Centre with the support of DLF Foundation on Oct 14th 2017 at Community Centre DLF Phase-2, Gurugram- called as ‘Senior Citizen Rejuvenation Centre’. The centre provides a platform for senior citizens to interact socially, build a support network, boost their self esteem and lead an active life. We have around 25 Senior Citizen members and different marketing strategies are being adopted to increase the membership- spreading words through door-to-door visit, poster’s display, visiting gatherings like temples and parks. Moreover, we are headed for opening ‘Three' more such centres in DLF Phase-1 Silver Oaks, DLF Phase- 3 and DLF Phase- 5 with the support of DLF Foundation.
Under its Helpline Assistance Programme, Dignity Foundation has also proposed to operate a 24*7 Helpline Service Senior Citizens through a Call Centre in Gurugram.
Dignity Foundation supports indigent senior citizens by providing a month’s worth of basic dry provisions to the very poor senior citizens who cannot fend for themselves. The Ration project takes off after a physical verification of the genuineness of the case by a Social Worker. Once a beneficiary is enrolled in the programme, they receive ration month after month, without fail.
